I Tell You Dont Worry

“This is why I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Matthew 6:25 HCSB

What does it mean: 'this is why I tell you.' What was Jesus referring to? Let's have a look:

“No one can be a slave of two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot be slaves of God and of money.
Matthew 6:24 HCSB

Jesus is telling us that to be free from slavery to money by not worrying about the things money can buy. At times we can be pushed by money to have it to own the latest .... if you need the latest model of phone, car, a bigger and better anything, money has got you. In fact if you worry where food is coming from or what you will eat, money is challenging you.

Rather if I seek God for my provisions and do not 'need' a certain coffee or a certain type of food, if I consider myself poor because I can't eat out or buy chocolate, I have things wrong.

We see Gods saints of old being able to live on meager provisions for long periods of time, without variety and they survived. A lot of what we believe we can't live without, we can.

Let's see things from Gods perspective! Amen!
