Learning Proper Behaviour

Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.
Ephesians 5:1‭-‬2 MSG

Learning the life of love, now there is the challenge. Not loving for what you get or can get but loving because God first loved us.

What a difference Jesus would have been. He came showing how God loves, giving His all. He did not love the rich more for the potential of what they could give Him. He loved all and challenged all.


As little children learning proper behaviour from our parents we need to allow God the Father to parent us and show us His way. His ways are gracious, forgiving and generous. He is never stingy but gives above and beyond what we ask or think.

How can I be generous, loving and kind? Every day I am given many opportunities. First I need to spend time with my Father and learn from Him. The bible shows me His ways. This is a good place to start. Amen!
