The Beginning of Knowledge

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Fear of God is respecting God. Having God in a relationship is respecting His position of authority and His opinion. We know His opinion by studying His word in the bible.

Respecting God's opinion is developing an ear to hear what God is saying rather than what your circumstances and friends are saying. This is particularly important when we are harassed by our circumstances. Our emotions scream for us to react rather than respond.

Responding according to biblical truth is best as it is laden with Gods grace and assistance. He empowers us and helps us to follow truth.

The beginning of knowledge is not going to school or university but rather following God, then the rest can be a pool of information which may be helpful but not an absolute authority. Amen!
