The Dominion is His

Now the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will personally restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little. The dominion belongs to Him forever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:10‭-‬11 HCSB

What is the suffering Peter is referring to? In the previous two verses Peter talks about our adversary the devil, who roams around looking for someone to devour.

What is the devil's work? Jesus told us the devil comes to kill and destroy. He attempts to kill our faith in God and our love for our fellow mankind; he seeks to destroy relationships so that we are all alone; he seeks to destroy hope, reputations, babies, old people. Now, can you see him at work?

How does the devil cause us to suffer? 'I would say: all of the above and more.' Persecutions of christians come from satan.

The early church knew persecution. The church today is still persecuted. There is nothing new here, except we have a God who fights for us and restores us. He alone is good!

Remember, the dominion alone belongs to our God!
