The Fruit Inspector

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vineyard keeper. Every branch in Me that does not produce fruit He removes, and He prunes every branch that produces fruit so that it will produce more fruit.
John 15:1‭-‬2 HCSB

Our heavenly Father is the fruit inspector and vine dresser. He comes looking for fruit.

I have friend who planted an orange tree and the first year she receive few oranges. I was in her yard only a few days ago and her little tree is laden with delectable plump oranges. My friend is a keen gardener and prunes and fertilizes her tree.

If a mere human can do this then our heavenly Father is in no way slack.

On Saturday I did some severe pruning to three native shrubs because they were diseased. Today I went to talk to an expert on natives. I am prepares to dig them up if they are not able to heal and produce the bottlebrush they had done in the past.

Our God is looking for branches that will produce the fruit He believes they can produce. Jesus Himself cursed a fig tree for failing to produce fruit and it shriveled up and died.

God is a fruit inspector. Expect Him to visit. Amen!
