Making Decisions

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his stature, because I have rejected him. Man does not see what the Lord sees, for man sees what is visible, but the Lord sees the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7 HCSB

We can assess someone by their looks and accept or reject them too easily. We are all inclined to 'like' a certain look, manner or profile. We have preconceived ideas of what a fit for a relationship ship, a management position or leader will look like.

Yesterday in Australia we were faced with the prospect of a change of leader in the government. I did not want the change and the man driving the change was not acceptable. However, out of left field came another alternative, a God alternative and I rejoiced. We now have a Christian PM. What a joy!

It is important that any decision must be made with Gods influence. A business decision, a potential life partner, a business decision or partner all must be covered by Gods grace. When this is the case we walk in blessing, we know God is with us so that in hard times we will stay the distance and not give up something God ordained.

I am faced with a few decisions and one, a business decision, makes me seek a godly way of finishing what He gave me in 2011. It is time for change and I want what is to be blessed by my decision.

The other decision is do I want a man in my life after 15 years being single, post divorce. I want Gods way, not my way. My way has history dictating the decision. I want Gods way and so I will pray and trust Him. Amen!
