The Potter Knows Best

Again I will build you so that you will be rebuilt, Virgin Israel. You will take up your tambourines again and go out in joyful dancing. You will plant vineyards again on the mountains of Samaria; the planters will plant and will enjoy the fruit.
Jeremiah 31:4‭-‬5 HCSB

Times of devastation are followed by times of restoration and healing. We need to take scripture to heart and go to the Lord expectant of His restoration, rather than moaning and complaining about the devastation.

I am in a time of rebuilding. The building is vastly different from the last time, it is full of God and I am much freer and know myself more. Rebuilding requires all the debris to be removed, new materials to be brought in, new designs to be made, designs relevant to the age the building takes place.

Most people have seen building renovation shows or read books on the same. In the 70s and 80s there used to be a plethora of building books sold in the newsagents shop. I loved looking at these books. Occassionally I will watch Grand Designs. The mind of mankind has amazing abilities to dream and design.

Imagine, if you will, what dreams and designs the Lord has in mind for our lives. We need to let go and enjoy the ride.

The pot cannot say to the Potter: "why have you made me like this?" Thinking we know best is crazy, He knows best. Amen!
