Words, Words, Words
From the fruit of his mouth a man’s stomach is satisfied; he is filled with the product of his lips.
Proverbs 18:20 HCSB
Today I went shopping for an iron supplement for my mum. One product, the chemist said, was like drinking a rusty drainpipe liquid. This description evoke nasty images and I knew mum would not go along with that.
Some people dont like brussel sprouts. I do, if cooked correctly. We all have aversions to eating certain foods. It is a pity we do not have an awareness of the impact of some of our spoken words. Bitter words actually hit out heart like a bitter tonic hits our stomachs.
Pleasant words spoken from a genuine heart brings forth life and lift burdens. A simple decision to be a blessing instead of resenting intrusion brings such a different result. Try it!
