Oh Taste!

Taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the man who takes refuge in Him!

Tonight I went to an 80th birthday party. One of my friends was boasting about a cheesecake his wife had made. He was inviting us to taste and see how good it was. I did not partake. Yet try as I might to imagine how it would taste, the only way to truly know what it tasted like was to try it.

The above scripture invites us to taste the goodness of God. I can tell you how good He is to me, but the best experience for you is to taste and see for yourself.

Tonight I opted for a piece of carrot cake. It was a very small piece but because it was so good, I had another small piece. God is like that and much better. Once you taste having Him in your life, you are smitten and want more.

There is no limit to the depth, breadth, height and length of Gods love toward us. Now that is an awesome experience begging us to come on in. The water is warm. Amen!
