The Grace of Endurance

Now may the God who gives endurance and encouragement allow you to live in harmony with one another, according to the command of Christ Jesus, so that you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with a united mind and voice.
Romans 15:5‭-‬6 HCSB

Notice that it is God who gives endurance and encouragement! Wow! I thought it was me who did the endurance. As in everything He gives me grace to do and be. This is humbling. I cant even claim the glory for endurance. Now come on! Admit you feel proud when you persevere in a pledge, keep going to the gym, stick to the diet, finish the course etc. Yes?

Well now we know. Our God gives us the ability to endure yet as with faith, it does not happen by osmosis, it takes effort.

We know He encourages us and He probably gives us grace to be humble and live in harmony. So....I am grateful! Thank you Lord!
