He Gave His Son

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

Jesus came to make a way for us to escape the judgement on sin. Anyone who refuses to accept this gift chooses instead judgement. They are willing to face God amd be judged. If they want to be judged on their ability to keep the 12 commandments, they will fail, as noone is good enough. If they believe they can stand before God with their own righteousness, they fail. None is righteous, no not one. How else will they be righteous? There is only One Way! Jesus Christ!

We are celebrating the coming of Jesus at this time of the year, Christmas. He was historically real and He rose again to take authority over all His enemies. We do this in Jesus' name. Amen!
