The Government Will Be on His Shoulders

For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

The Jewish people have long believed that when the Messiah comes He will govern. When Jesus came His disciples looked to Him to take authority and rule. Yet, at that time, He didn't.

Jesus is returning, this time to govern. He will govern fairly, justly amd truthfully but the book of Revelation says He will not win all hearts. There will still be those who love evil and will oppose Him.

Our queen Elizabeth did not want rule, however her father King George had lung cancer and died prematurely. As the eldest it was recognized that she was born to govern. I have watched many movies about young queen Elizabeth. She struggled to be a monarch, she would have rather been a housewife, but it was not to be.

From a young age Jesus knew He was destined to walk in authority. When He was 12 in the temple He knew He was about His Father's business.

This Jesus is our saviour and Lord. We can trust Him. Amen!
