Really Listening?

“Are you listening to me? Really listening?

There has never been a time that this applies to more: hand-held devices occupy so much of our time; other peoples opinions rattle our brains; bad news everywhere and yet someone :a child or a parent sits waiting to be heard.

I have watched my grandchildren trying to get their father's attention. He is particularly deaf when on the phone. I find myself interrupting for them. What are they learning?

I see my mum trying to talk to me when I am on my phone. Same! Forgive us Lord!

If we struggle to hear those we can see, how do we hear Him who we cannot see?

Yet, it is only as we really hear that we can give our heart and change our ways. Amen!
