I will display wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below: blood and fire and a cloud of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and remarkable Day of the Lord comes. Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

This day is coming. With all eyes turned towards heaven it will come. Part of the above scripture is a repeat of a prophesy given by the prophet Joel in the Old Testament, thousands of years ago. It is interesting that there has been an renewed interest in astronomy in this day. Yet this will not be seen coming, except in the hearts of God's people, who yearn for Him.
Yet whomever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. God does not expect a holy performance before He accepts us. He accepts a repentant heart just as it comes. He is generous and good.
My wonder is: when Jesus returns to take His people home, will He reveal Himself first giving people a further chance of repentance or will it be so sudden that it is too late? I had a friend die recently and he collapsed on the tennis court. If he had died at that moment, then it would have been too late, yet he died in the night in hospital. My pray is He had time for repentance. Not having any more time for repentance would be devastating.
He is coming soon. You do not know the exact hour. Be ready! Eternity without Him will be very hot and vile...forever!
