But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.

Loving extravagantly! Today is Valentine's Day and those fueled by passion will be spending up on roses, chocolates, wine and perhaps dinner. Yet an attribute of love is committment. Committment outlasts the feelings. Having babies brings gooey feelings, if the child is wanted, if not wanted the baby is disposed of. Feelings lead us to relationships until the feelings go, then we go.
Loving extravagantly is what God does. He sent His prize to win the filthy and lowdown and to top this off, He now says that His Son's sacrifice is enough and forgives and forgives and forgives.
Now! That is extravagant love! Amen!
