Here I Am

Here, I’m standing at the door, knocking. If someone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he will eat with me. (Rev) 3:20 CJB

Have you ever stood at a door knocking, wishing the homeowner had a doorbell that worked and heard noises from within knowing someone is at home but can't or won't respond to your knock? I have and it is disconcerting. Fortunately the Lord is not likewise afflicted.

Our Lord desires to come into our lives and fellowship. When the scripture says: eat with you, it implies He would stay awhile and have a good time of fellowship.

There is nothing better than sitting with good friends amd sharing a meal. This friend is the friend of all friends and He delights in us. He has so much to bring to the table. All knowledge is His, all understanding, all experience. There are so many stories He could tell. What a guest!

Invite Him in! Amen!
