Seek Love

Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. 1 Corinthians 13:6 HCSB

Why do people behave the way they do; why do they say things that seem out of character? Perhaps things we know not of are going down in their lives and they are caught in a place they cannot fathom or struggle to deal with.

It is easy to judge the spoken word and stand on principle rather than seek and discover the why. Everyone has a story. Loving enough to hear the story may give that person room to turn towards truth and be healed.

We can easily read the whole 1 Cor 13 passage and miss this one little verse. Love does not laugh at others, or judge them out of hand, but seeks their good. The why of behaviour is important.

The righteousness that comes from love is far better than the righteousness that comes from principal. Always seek love!
