Sing the Victory

Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong— then guide me on the road to eternal life.
Psalm 139:23‭-‬24 MSG

I love this scripture and another similar:

God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not banish me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore the joy of Your salvation to me, and give me a willing spirit. Psalms 51:10‭-‬12 HCSB

These scriptures bring back memories of scripture in song but the last especially reminds me of a Keith Green adaptation of this song. Keith was passionate for the Lord and his music reflected it. Keith and two of his children were killed in a light aircraft many years ago(1982), along with another couple and their six children and the pilot. It was a sad time. Keith's wife Melody survived Keith and if I am correct she was pregnant with a forth child and the third child, a one year old, at the time was with her.

Songs help us remember. I am reading a book about the history of Christian music. Did you know that some churches still sing songs written in 300 and 400ad? I find that amazing. The words were very good. The Jews sang songs amd recounted history by song. I know the songs I learned as a new Christian I still remember them as they were almost all scripture.

We should sing songs to help us remember our God's goodness. Recently I was seeking God for healing in a shoulder, so I created a song over it. My should is almost completely healed.

I raise a hallelujah is a good song. It is a Bethel song. Look it up. Enjoy!
