Temptation

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 HCSB

We all experience temptation. James tells us that God does not tempt us:

No one undergoing a trial should say, “I am being tempted by God.” For God is not tempted by evil, and He Himself doesn’t tempt anyone. But each person is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own evil desires. James 1:13‭-‬14 HCSB

However, in 1 Corinthians Paul tells us that God will provide a way of escape. No matter how seductive the temptation we must choose to turn around and escape or we will find ourselves like a butterfly caught in a spider's web. The spider is Satan and he comes to rob, kill and destroy.

Last night I saw a temptation and decided 'No!'but my enemy didn't stop there he tried again later in the night and my resolve had to be 'no!' It was! Praise God!

We must recognize things for what they are and know where they lead...death! Say 'No!'
