Pray All the Time

Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. 1 Thessalonians 5:16‭-‬18 MSG

Well yesterday I was caught off guard and had to enter the fray for my mother. Today was a plodding day but it too came to a point of push.

The arrangement, yesterday, was for my mum to be transferred to a private hospital and today that procedure was protracted and even looked like failing. We were informed that there were no beds and that the current hospital would transfer my mother to a rehab facility in the current hospital grounds. That was not acceptable. The rehab facility was also old and not what I wanted for my mum. At this point I decided I would take my mum home, as the specialist had mentioned this prior. I took all her luggage down to my car in the carpark. Upon my return, lo and behold the private hospital had a bed after all. I offered to take mum as planned but 'No!'they could transport her. Off I went to the private hospital and waited for around an hour.

At least I was prepared for difficulty today and handled it well. (I did a lot of praying)

How good it is to be prepared for the unexpected. How good it is to have God in the mix! Amen!
