A Safe Place

God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need him. We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom, courageous in seastorm and earthquake, Before the rush and roar of oceans, the tremors that shift mountains. Jacob-wrestling God fights for us, God -of-Angel-Armies protects us. Psalm 46:1‭-‬3 MSG https://bible.com/bible/97/psa.46.1-3.MSG

If God be for us, who can be against us? I am watching a programme about people recovering from a stroke. Recovery for these people can be difficult, depending on where the stroke occurs, how soon they receive medical attention and how efficient that attention is.

For many people in life, some face very difficult health events, family events, cultural events. I have recently befriended a woman from Nigeria. She and her husband and two girls came to Australia to escape the violence in Nigeria. This is huge as finding a refugee status that is acceptable to a country like Australia is difficult. We have some of the toughest refugee criteria in the world.

Yet, in God we have safety. He is our refuge and strength. We must trust Him. Amen!
