Friends and Family

A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. Proverbs 17:17 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/pro.17.17.nlt

I have both friends and family and they are both two distinct entities. My friends, I have made through the activities I engage in church, the hood, astronomy and art. My family are a different story. I was born into my family and by the very nature of that fact have accumulated an ever-growing crowd expanding like raindrops on sated earth.

Yet, there is another family I belong to and it is eternal. This family is multitudinous, as innumerable as the stars in the sky. The door to this family is my closest friend, Jesus Christ. With Him, I am totally safe. I can be my best or worst and He loves me still, yet whispers: "this is not who you are, you are made like Me and my strength is in you. Rise up and be royal in relationships!"

A true friend confronts us in our bad moments and comforts us in our pain, He rejoices in our victories. He is a friend indeed. Thank You Jesus!
