Wrong Motives

You ask and don’t receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your evil desires. James 4:3 HCSB https://bible.com/bible/72/jas.4.3.hcsb

This is hard to hear, isn't it? The wrong motives are not automatically evil motives: they can be misguided, wrong motives. We can want to save the world but our way might not be what is right just now. For example, you may have an opportunity to receive a large amount of money and you have plans to give it to a certain mission but God says "Not yet!"

I have seen the pastors in Nepal resort to professional begging through social media. They are His children and He wants them to walk in faith, just like I must. Giving to poor countries must be done with accountability as well.

I remember Him telling me: " I have given them gifts already, " the gifts we're the abilities to make money through fish farms, mushroom farms, unusual enterprises. I would not dare to interfere with God's plan in someone else's life.
