Foolishness
A fool does not delight in understanding, but only wants to show off his opinions. Proverbs 18:2 HCSB https://bible.com/bible/72/pro.18.2.HCSB
The part of this Scripture that challenges me is: the fool is keen to give an opinion. I know that when excited and in a discussion with someone, I run on too quickly. This is foolishness to me.
It is much better to control excitement and listen to others. Then I might hear more that requires an opinion, the right opinion.
An opinion is not always sought. Sometimes people want to do the talking or should do the talking. Consideration is important.
We are all capable of being foolish, we know it when we have been. I am grateful God forgives us. God is compassionate, praise Him.
If I offend others by my foolishness I endeavour to apologise and move on. This is the least I can do. Amen!
