May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.
Romans 15:5 NLT

For someone who can read and play music, my ear is trained to hear harmony and it also notices disharmony when it hears it. Disharmony is not good. It grates and turns us away.
Why is there disharmony in church? It usually has to do with the flesh. That part of us that is arrogant and strutting in its behaviour. It is not a pleasant odour.
To live in harmony we must lose ourselves and yield to a higher power. The higher power here is Christ. His way is better, it is not our interpretation of His way that is better. We do this with patience and with encouragement, laying down our precious opinions of each other. Amen!
