A New Way

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
Titus 2:11‭-‬14 NLT

Totally committed to doing good deeds: what good deeds would the Lord have me do today?

Yesterday I was asked to mind a friends child last night whilst she and her husband went to a Christmas party. The child was full of energy and moved quickly from one thing to another. It was a challenge to keep up. However, my friend does not have many friends and needed help. It was the most challenging thing I have done in a while and I have many challenges each day.

The Lord promises us grace to do works He has called us to do. He is our strength and beauty in the trial. I am constantly reminded of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They served Nebuchadnezzar faithfully but never agreed to worship his idols. For their disobedience, they faced lions and fiery furnaces, but God kept them. God can keep me, He can keep you. Amen!
