A Vast Multitude

After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands.

There are various interpretations as to who these people are, whether they represent those martyred for Christ or those raptured. Perhaps they are all of those who chose to believe. However, to be numbered with them will suffice. 

Standing before the throne of God in a multitude, in heaven, will show us how great God is. Every nation will be represented. We will need a common language, I wonder what that will be?

The book of Revelation is filled with a certainty: Jesus is Lord and He will reign, there is a devil and he loses and will be cast into the lake of fire.

Those who believe will be in the multitude and those who don't will go to the lake of fire. 

Seeing the bushfires in the media makes me certain I do not want to spend eternity in a lake of fire. How about you?

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
