I Yearn For You

In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right.

Searching for the Lord is good, seeking His mind is paramount. It is not what I think that matters. What is He saying?

Tough times scream at us and demand we accept their standards. As a child of God, I must reject all these and seek my Lord's ways and thoughts.

His ways alone bring peace and hope. I was discussing God's ways with my grandson yesterday. He had received a bad mark for a subject he loved and was going to call the teacher. Fortunately, his mother took charge and obtained a better outcome. My grandson was also glad as his attitude was not good. I shared with him the need for self-control and how God was teaching me this, as well as stopping, looking and listening. In other words, I am constrained. I told him that as I submitted to the 'yoke' I was blessed. I asked him if he knew what a yoke was. He said, "Yes, it is the yellow part of an egg." I laughed and said, "No! This is spelt differently, yoke not yolk." I explained that Jesus said, "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me. My burden is easy, my yoke is light." I explained what this was.

If we submit to the yoke of Christ we receive the rewards. Always there is blessing in obedience. Amen!
