Treasure Chest
When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Jesus said: "where your treasure is, there will be your heart also."
Constantly we are challenged with putting our heart where God wants it.
Yesterday I received a book I had ordered. The book is called: God's Hostage by Andrew Brunson. Andrew and his wife had been long-term missionaries in Turkey and in 2016 both he and his wife were falsely accused of all manner of things, including being spies and terrorists. Andrew struggled with being jailed and constantly struggled to find God in the absence of His presence. Andrew was also challenged about where his treasure was.
I have been challenged again and again. The Lord must be first and only.
As I write this I am fortunate to be inside an air-conditioned home with the temperature outside 40oC. Tomorrow and the day after is supposed to be hotter. The air is thick with smoke as our country burns. My mum, who unwell, is struggling and I am having to watch her struggle and pray without ceasing. I have no option but to trust my God. He alone must be God and Lord.
Two firefighters lost their lives yesterday and left behind small children. How much grief will their families be experiencing?
I must pray and stand and believe my God is able to save. As my country weeps, I weep and pray. Amen!
