Listen and Understand
Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!
Matthew 11:15 NLT

The above verse Jesus spoke after he had told the crowd that John the Baptist was the prophet that was prophesied about. John was now in prison and although he was great in the kingdom of heaven those who believed in Jesus were greater than John.
John had begun to doubt Jesus was the Messiah because Jesus did not do things John wanted. Perhaps John expected Jesus to rule as a king and to liberate him. John appears to be offended by his cousin Jesus.
We can as Christians have expectations that knowing Jesus will remove all pain from our lives. This is not the case. We are to be lights in dark places. Joseph spent years in prison and stayed faithful. God used him mightily. Daniel was in exile his whole life, he was thrown in a lion pit and showed forth God's glory.
We need to hear, really hear what God is saying about our circumstances. He is with us in the valley of dry bones. He is for us but wants us to reveal Him in dry places. Amen!
