Love Not Ugliness
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
Hebrews 10:24 NLT

This verse is a part of a group of verses exhorting us to live in Christ (verses 19-28). There are many such verses throughout the New Testament writings.
Acts of love and good works should flow out of a life possessed by Christ, not by alcohol, drugs, lust for food or lusts of any kind.
As someone who has been a nurse, I have watched people approach death and at that time the thing, or spirit, that possess them becomes more and more evident. It is actually quite ugly.
So many people choose a form of godliness and deny the power of it because of the power of godliness delivers. Not everyone wants to give up their pet sin.
A lot of people hang on to bitterness and resentment, judgement or criticism. I remember a good friend dying years ago. He had pancreatic cancer. On his death bed bitterness manifested itself. It was horrible. We might hide our sin from others but in death, all is revealed.
Let our testimony be godly, all the way through to death. Amen!
