Darkest Days
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
Psalms 23:4 NLT
David knew many dark days but he clung to His Shepherd. Having been a shepherd Himself He knew what he did for the sheep: he had killed a lion and a bear for them. When he had to go away from them he found a good replacement.
Jesus showed what a shepherd was like. He taught them, ministered with them and then enabled them to go and do as He had done, he prayed for them, defended them amd also chastised them. However, He loved the sheep and eventeually gave up His life for them.
Jesus walked through the darkest valley trusting the Father that His sacrifice would be enough, it was. Now I can trust Him through my darkest valley.
