Never Again be Hungry or Thirsty
“I am the bread of life,” Jesus told them. “No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in Me will ever be thirsty again.
John 6:35 HCSB
Jesus was not speaking naturally here. We all hunger and thirst, that is a part of how we survive.
What was He referring to? Many crave importance, significance, pleasure, love, some seek adoration. Unfortunately the way of the world is through manipulation. Yet Jesus' words intimate another way.
What is the way of Christ? How can He promise we will never hunger and thirst? He goes on the accuse His listeners of not believing. What would have happened if they did believe?
Pleasure would be from a different place than where we look, currently. What is that place? Perhaps we will find it as we abide in Him? Try John 15.
