I Am Feeling Lost- Help!

All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
Isaiah 53:6 NLT

Hundreds of years before Jesus came to earth the prophet Isaiah prophesied this message. He predicted that a man would come and pay the price to win us back from the clutches of sin.

Sheep are notorious for wandering that is why they need shepherds and sheep dogs. Jesus Himself likened us to sheep and Himself to a shepherd, the good shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep.

King David was a shepherd in his younger years. He fought with a lion and a bear to defend his sheep. Jesus fought something more insidious-sin. He overcame it, death amd the grave to bring us the keys to eternal life.

Jesus is our way, our hope, our life. He said: he who comes to me, I will in no way turn away. We can trust Him with our life today.

Why not invite Him in!

Prayer: Jesus forgive me for going my own way. Please come into my life, be my shepherd and set me free. I will follow you. Amen

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
