“But I say to you who listen: Love your enemies, do what is good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.  If anyone hits you on the cheek, offer the other also. And if anyone takes away your coat, don’t hold back your shirt either. Luke 6:27‭-‬29 HCSB

How many enemies do you have? Do you love them as the scripture above commands you to or do you complain, write nasty posts about them, take them to court?

In thr gospels we never see Jesus having a complaints session about His enemies. He warns His disciples about their motives but He confronts His enemies face to face.

Jesus confronts by dealing with the issues. He constantly tries to reveal the truth. How do we deal with things?

I love the gospel of Luke as Luke  reveals how Jesus relies on the Holy Spirit. Why not try that? Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
