There is something comforting about being in the hands of capable paramdeics, doctors and nurses, when you have been in a car accident. They know how to minister to your broken body.

We can be emotionally and spiritually broken and the One who heals is best is the Lord, God Almighty. I have been broken and He gently, lovingly brought healing to my life. My scars were deep and it took much longer than I would have wanted. However, I am grateful He did not give up on me and I persevered seeking Him.

I once worked as a nurse at the Wollongong Hospital south of Sydney, and worked in the orthopaedic ward. It was here I saw long term healing take place. A man who I know had gas bottle fall on him and his back was badly broken. God restored his heart as well as his body. Another man fell from a great hight, landing on his hands amd feet and broke all four. He took a long time to heal. Another man was in a motor bike accident and was split up the middle through his legs. You can imagine his injuries. I loved working on this ward as I was able to minister for 4 weeks at a time to the broken.

God loves the broken as they are somewhat humbler in spirit and His healing balm works well with the humble. Allow Him to heal you! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
