falling short

We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. Romans 3:22‭-‬24 NLT

We all fall short of God's sinless and holy being. Yet we are draw to Him, we want to know a God who heals, and saves us from the demons that harry us. To come close we need to be made right and we are offered one way, Jesus Christ.

Jesus was the acceptable sacrifice. He lay down His life to make a way for us. His sacrifice was so acceptable that God raised Him from the dead and seated Him in heaven with Himself.

Sin is real, it is own inability to be perfect, it is to miss the mark. None of us, no matter how good, is perfect. We are unable to love as He loves, and therefore are subject to selfishness. Selfishness is where pride, anger, resentment, offence, and criticism find life. Whereas, when we ask Jesus to be Lord, He sets us free from all these.

Ask Him in today! Amen!
