sin not the correct currency

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 HCSB

The glory of God is something special. It is something we can experience in our own life. Yet, outside of God's family, it is not available. Belong to the family is found purely in accepting Jesus Christ as saviour and Lord.

Walking in relationship with God sees God's glory turning up in our lives. What does it look like? Amazing grace, amazing blessing and amazing gifting that defies logic. However, we cannot claim this glory as our own doing as it belongs to God.

Therefore, we can see why the scripture says, sin cuts us off from God's glory. Sin is selfishness and refusal to accept Jesus' sacrifice, claiming self-righteousness as good enough. Sorry! Here the glory departs! Sin is not the right currency!
