God's lawsuit
Mankind, He has told you what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 HCSB https://bible.com/bible/72/mic.6.8.HCSB
Earlier in the chapter God is asking: do I want sacrifices, Do I want the show? The first verse of Chapter begins with: 'rise, plead your case before rhe mountains'. Why before the mountains? Micah goes one to say: 'mountains and enduring foundations of the earth.'
There is a lot here before we arrive that remains long after we are gone. This creation attests to the goodness and faithfulness of our God. Creation has seen it all, but better, it remembers its beginning, do we?
Pride is so much a part of us that we fail to see it, until God tests us and out it pops. I had one of those moments last night. I had an American visitor come to dinner and we were discussing politics and America. Well, you could imagine how that went. The opnions we find!
Yet, today I am reminded that it God's grace that sustains me, and that is all. There is nothing I do that pleases Him more than walking humbly before Him. Amen!
