persistent in prayer

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”
Luke 11:13 NLT

This verse is but a part of the chapter that deals with prayer. Here Jesus teaches how to pray and where we find the Lord's prayer. Next, He tells a story of having a sudden visitor and needing bread, and going to a neighbour to knock, and ask for bread. Jesus aligns persistence in prayer with receiving good gifts from God.

The above verse tells us that although the answer may be delayed, persist, and you will receive what has been promised.

The Holy Spirit gives good gifts. Amen!
