an act of faith

By an act of faith, Enoch skipped death completely. “They looked all over and couldn’t find him because God had taken him.” We know on the basis of reliable testimony that before he was taken “he pleased God.” It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. Hebrews 11:5‭-‬6 MSG

Pleasing God is not through sacrifice, but rather faith. Faith is the fuel of the kingdom of God. By faith God spoke the universe into being. Faith is a part of God. We are a part of Him. We share faith, and as we are made in our Father's image, we have access to all He has. Faith gives us access to God's miracle working power.

How many other Enochs have there been? We know Moses disappeared, Elijah was taken up in a fiery chariot, and I am sure there are more. Jesus went up into heaven. Now we can understand Jesus, as He was God, but men went as well.

Nothing is impossible in faith. Amen!
