o come let us adore Him
Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, Psalms 95:6 NLT

Last night I attended a three hour worship service, the old pentecostal way: songs and testimonies fill the service. Ordinary, little people, were encouraged to get up and share their faith, a song, a scripture.
My 12 year old grandson was on his knees with his hands lifted in worship. What a heart for God! Never did he complain or say he was bored. I struggled with tiredness, but this little guy was unaffected, he kept pressing in. This same little man is coming on a holiday with me tomorrow. How blessed am I?
The church group was alive and throbbed with a heart for God. A negro man led the best, most alive praise. I could imagine myself being in the deep south in America. We grooved and mooved, clapped and sang. What a time we had!
I was back in old-time pentecostalism, before we sanitised services so that only offical ministries were invited to speak. I could tell that this church group indeed moved as one. They unashamedly worshiped, and ministered together. Life was here!
