creative burden carrying
Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived.
Galatians 6:1-3 MSG

There are some burdens I am unable to carry. However, when I know I can, I should offer to help.
I had agrred to help a friend who has a new pup. I thought my dog would be kind, however he wasn't, especially to a dog bigger than him who are continually was in his face. When he growled at the pup, it wet itself on my carpet. It didn't happen once, but three times unfortunately. I had to say, No more!
Yet, there are other times and dogs I can help. My elderly neighbour is going away at Christmas and could not find a place, so I volunteered. Another friend from church has a similar situation. I will be dog-sitting two older dogs over Christmas. Fortunately they both arrive towards the end of next week.
I pray I have not been foolish, and they all cohabit successfully. This is a first, I will see how I go.
Christmas can be a difficult time for people with pets. Keep your eyes open and be a good friend. Amen!
