This NT scripture is to fulfill Is 7:14. A prophesy given hundreds of years before the event. God has no problem waiting to fulfill His word. We grow impatient, and try to prempt the promise, but the result is dust. God's word requires a God fulfillment. We may be participants, but not initiators.
God answers our prayers in ways we know not. We could never pick the entry point. Noone in all of Israel would have chosen Mary, but God. I love the way He works and thinks.
On Saturday the Lord blessed me with an answered prayer. I had a desire for a chicken coop and had even gone so far as to find a second hand one. I asked my brother to help me restore it. He went to the hardware store to buy provisions, and came back with a new one that was my ultimate desire. I would never have chosen my brother as the supplier of a blessing, but here is the proof.
