contentment
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.
1 Timothy 6:6-8 NLT

Being content is a challenge, but when content peace is found. Sin causes us to pity ourselves, judge others, and crave for what we think might make us happy. Yet, true happiness is found in Christ alone.
I have two little chicken that are kept in their cage, until they mature in a few weeks. Already they look outside and want to be there. However, out there is danger. One already escaped a few days ago, and I found it hiding behind my compost bin. It has already forgotten that trip, and wants out again.
We are like this. Sin crouches at our door seeking to devour us with lusts, and desires for what we do not have.
Godly contentment is great gain! Amen!
