comforted

As a mother comforts her son, so I will comfort you, and you will be comforted in Jerusalem. Isaiah 66:13 HCSB

The Christian might relate to being comforted in Jerusalem. In the text Jerusalem and Zion represented mother or home. To the Christian it could be taken to be the church.

The church is to express the compassion and love of God. Yet, the greatest single comforter of the Christian is the Lord. He is never distracted, consumed with His own favourites or His work. He is always there and available.

So, don't become exasperated by the lack of attention, press into God. He is there, and never leaves or forsakes us. Amen!
