no pomp, but much glory

The next day the huge crowd that had arrived for the Feast heard that Jesus was entering Jerusalem. They broke off palm branches and went out to meet him. And they cheered: Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in God’s name! Yes! The King of Israel! Jesus got a young donkey and rode it, just as the Scripture has it: No fear, Daughter Zion: See how your king comes, riding a donkey’s colt. John 12:12‭-‬15 MSG

The beautiful thing about Jesus was He never  claimed glory. Yes He did, rightly, claim to be the Son of God, but did not go around saying: " I did this, I did that..." He asked the Father to glorify Him, and He did, in much pain and sacrifice and eventual death. Yet, He rose again, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

The crowd caught a moment of truth, and then it escaped them, as within days they were calling for His death.

I am grateful for the sacrifice! Praise Your Name Jesus!
