beaten for me

But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:5 NLT

All that Jesus suffered we deserved. We are the ones caught in sin and needing a saviour. He became that for me. He was beaten, bruised, scourged, pierced and nailed to a cross. He was abused so that I could be free of the cost of my sin.

I know there are times I deserve a beating, but know I can repent and accept the forgiveness given in Christ.

I must walk in forgiveness, knowing that He is enough. Enough for me and enough for others. Amen!

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
