He's gone!
He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. Matthew 28:6 NLT

Today I watched the Jesus movie with a new Christian friend of mine. I was struck with how Peter would have felt at seeing Jesus crucified as he was no longer able to make his blunder (denying knowing Jesus) right. Then, on the Sunday have the women return with the news that Jesus' body was gone. He would have been bereft.
What joy Peter would know when Jesus appeared to them all, at the same time, what shame, with again knowing he needed to make things right.
The movie did not show the time that Jesus turned up at the sea shore when Peter was fishing. Jesus invited him to have breakfast. Over breakfast Jesus questioned Peter about his love for Him, not once but three times. These three times were the cleansing of the three denials Peter had made. By the end of the discourse Peter was made new again.
It is amazing that Jesus cared about the little things that would bind us, should they remain.
Today He still cares for each of us, giving us opportunity to make things right between us. Today at church may took that opportunity. Praise God!
