I will praise

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord ! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

This morning I am awake at 3.30am. My neighbour's husky broke into my yard and attempted to kill my chickens, in the process destroying their house. My dog alerted me to the drama. We already had the dog and its small buddy in the yard at 10pm. Fortunately the chickens live. However I have neighbour issues as they have 4 dogs, two of which are huskies.

Even in the midst of this drama, what is God doing? My neighbours are lovely people, they recenly came to the neighbourhood and I sense God is up to something. I wait to see what He will do.

Always, always I will wait to see what He will do. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
